"Thoughts from my inner mind that should be exposed. Things that happened or told to us as youth have a way of returning to the present. These past experiences at the time have no meaning to us them. For example saying used by our parents (especially our Mothers') never make sense but today they always present themselves in the mind even if our elders have 'passed-on'."

"CONTROL of HUMANS'."
“CONTROL MECHANISM OF THE RULING CLASS” (Those with power, prestige & money).
Leyton E. FRANKLIN, B. F. A. Hon’s. 2006.
According to Tim WISE in an article “A look at the Myth of Reverse Racism” that;
“When a group of people has little or no power over you institutionally, they don’t get to define the terms of your existence …So, objectification works against the disempowered within a class system where people tend to compete for ‘stuff’ against others of the same basic economic status. In other words, rich and poor are not competing for the same homes, bank loans, jobs, or even educations to a large extent. Rich competes against rich, working class against working class and poor against poor. And in those competitions racial privilege most certainly attaches.
WISE continues to note examples of racism practised against the less powerful groups with in the class system and states “there are plenty of ways that more powerful and dominant groups can deploy racism against less powerful groups without having to break the law:
Deny a bank loan for racial reasons
‘Steer’ certain homebuyers away from living in ‘nice’ neighbourhoods
By moving away when too many of ‘them’ move or
One can discriminate in employment but not be subjected to penalty, so long as one make the claim that the applicant of ‘colour’ was ‘less qualified,’ even though that determination is wholly subjective and rarely scrutinized to see if it was determined accurately, as opposed to being a mere proxy for racial bias. In short, it is institutional power that matters.” HYPERLINK "http://www.ipoaa.com/tim-wise.htm -7/22/2006" www.ipoaa.com/tim-wise.htm -7/22/2006.

"African Americans and KATRINA August 2005."
“THE AFRICAN AMERICAN PEOPLES’ IN THE SOUTH & HURRICANE KATRINA, AUGUST 2005.”
L. E. FRANKLIN B.F. A. Hon’s.
HISTORY (His-story);
TELLS A PEOPLE WHERE THEY ARE AND WHAT THEY MUST BE.
TELLS A PEOPLE WHERE THEY HAVE BEEN AND WHAT THEY HAVE BEEN.
TELLS A PEOPLE WHERE THEY ARE GOING AND WHERE THEY MUST BE.
TELLS A PEOPLE (and continues to tell them) WHERE THEY HAVE TO GO AND WHERE THEY STILL MUST BE.
Dr. John. Henrick CLARK. January 1988, Brooklyn N. Y.
Most Afrikans wouldn’t and couldn’t believe what they are seeing/saw on the television-the Katrina’s aftermath in New Orleans/Mississippi-September 2005. They say that this is the worst destructive situation (ethnic cleansing) in the history of USA but Africans perished during slavery-12-20 million-#1. They also perished during the Confederacy-260,000 men and in addition, 37,000 in the Union army-#2. From the uprooting of Africans who were brought to the New World they suffered and continue under the leadership of the Europeans system: unemployment, poverty and economic slavery-to name a few. Was it really an accident or was it a type of genocide? Look at these facts, they are easy to find
for a regular reader in search of knowledge/history.
Freedom of African people were either captured or purchased & not returned (from West and Central Africa by the British, French, Dutch, Spanish and Portuguese). Overnight these people of the human race (Africans’) became a commodity on the market for sale. Through this practice of greed, Slavery became alive and was practiced with the knowledge of the Church and the Queen of England. It was further developed & maintained (period 1400-1700-#3) by wealthy & powerful European in the USA and other parts of the world where Colonist ruled. This system destroyed the culture of the African people and resulted in the repeated displacement, dehumanization, suppression & control of the minds of these people (another race/non-white).
This transatlantic slave trade of African peoples’ originated in European overseas expansion and for over a period of 400 years-#4 approximately, African peoples’ (12-90 million, depending on who benefits from the information) were bound in chains (hands & feet) after being captured in their homelands and transported like animals in the hulls of ships (like dead sardines in a can) via The Middle Passage (1650-1850-#5). Untold numbers perished & died.
African suffered in the South due to slavery because of the powerful and wealthy slaveholders that where against the abolishment of slavery. I should also note that even before Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation in January 1863,-#6 thousand of enslaved African-Americans fled to freedom (despite the Fugitive Slave Act of 1793-#7)
but slavery didn’t immediately end. In January 1865, the U. S Congress approved the approval of the Thirteenth Amendment, which irrevocably abolished slavery throughout the nation….#8 Note that before the abolishment of slavery a price was on the head of any African who escaped; they were hunted and killed, running for their freedom.
The destruction of slavery powerfully shaped the course of the Civil war in America that started 1861-1865/1877. It was fought between the North & the South enlisted about 180,000-200,000 African-American served in the Union Army and about 40,000 African lives were lost.#9 The African South suffered then and is suffering now (ethnic cleansing) and has always suffered. The cold war continues it is not dead, but only for African-Americans.
The Reconstruction era (1865-1877) in America was one of the most turbulent and controversial. It has remained relevant today because the issues central was the role of the federal government in protecting citizens’ rights and the possibility of economic and racial justice (but they have in-justice) in a heterogeneous society is still unsolved. The demise of slavery, the central institution of prewar Southern life, produced profound changes in the social and economic lives of blacks… The former slaves sought to breathe full meaning into their newly acquired freedom…. Few whites Southerners accepted the idea that African-Americans deserved the same political rights and economic opportunities as themselves, and some sought to reestablish a system of white supremacy as close to slavery as possible. These incompatible definitions of the meaning of freedom produced pervasive conflict in the cities and rural areas of the South. Out of this conflict emerged new systems of labor to replace the shattered world of slavery, and new economic roles for former masters, former slave, and the white majority that had not owned slaves before the Civil War-#10.
U.S.A as a rich country, according to the Census group in Orleans Parish, adapted from city commission of New Orleans-Census 2000 reports that the area has the poorest and largest number of Africans living below twice the poverty threshold including all individuals whose families has income that is lower than twice the poverty threshold for that size family. Because poverty thresholds are generally considered to be flawed and have not been appropriately adjusted since they were created in 1964, twice the poverty threshold is commonly used as a rough proxy for a living wage (Check Info@gnccd.org-9/1/2005).
An article “HURRICANE KATRINA: AMERICAN LEADERSHIP SHOWS THEIR TRUE COLOURS” posted on http://Playahata.com-September 2nd 2005 has also written about the 2000 US census describing the poverty of African-Americans. It states that the Lower Ninth Ward district of New Orleans has a poverty level of 36.4% (the official definition of poverty is so low it should be defined as abject poverty). A quarter of household shave an annual income of less than $10,000, while half live on less than $20,0000. Over half of the population in the ward is categorized as “not in the labor force”, mainly because they have ceased looking for work. New Orleans itself, ranks fifth in United States cities in terms of African-American population and 67% of the city’s half million residents are black.
It is in the South (Tennessee-USA) where the KKK became the defenders of the White race were developed in 1866. They were involved in over throwing African governments in power after Slavery and restored White Home Rule that remains a great part of the American system. They also successfully paralyzed Reconstruction governments (p.124) and were responsible for terminating the lives of millions African ancestors then and also today. Example,
Murdered,
Decapitated by iron balls, as the rest of their bodies were buried in the ground,
Living African women who were pregnant, had their womb cut open and child taken-out and left to die in front of husbands and children,
Hands cut off so they couldn’t play the drum again,
Tongs cut out of their mouths so they cannot speak again,
Lynching parties-3,500 African-Americans were lynched in the US between 1889-1968, the majority in the South (Page 135)-(listen to the song “STRANGE FRUITS” by Billie HOLIDAY),
Beaten with whips for hours while hanging in trees by both hands, resulting in 1inch scars left on their backs of left to die-etc. Today in New Orleans area they continue to suffer (ethnic cleansing). About 1.3 million people live and studies have suggested this catastrophic toll would hit the city by a major hurricane-according to an article CNN.com Sunday, September 3, 2005; By Peggy Mihelich-CNN. (Page # 3).
Remember it is in the United States of America (United Snakes of America) that the idea of controlling “BLACKS SLAVES” was developed by Willie Lynch and executed by wealthy & powerful European plantation.
“DOCUMENTED IMFORMATION:”
THE UNTOLD STORY 1712, in the book “The Willie Lynch Letter and the Making of a Slave”. A white slave owner, WILLIAM LYNCH on the bank of the James River delivered this story in 1712. The book was published by LUSHENA BOOKS-1804 West Irving Park Road, Chicago, IL 60613-Email: Lushena @ aol.com According to LYNCH, the method for controlling Black slaves would last for 300 years. (There are clues and answers to my questions asked below).
He outlined a number of differences among the slaves, for his training:
Using fear, distrust & envy for control purposes
Starts with age
Using color/shade
Intelligence
Size
Sex
Size of plantation
Status on plantation
Attitude of owner
Where the slaves live
Kind of hair-fine/course/tall or short
Outline of action:
According to Lynch, Distrust is stronger than trust
Envy is stronger than adulation, respect or admiration
You (slave-owners’) must pitch the old black male vs. the young black and the young black male against the old black male (e.g. boxing).
Dark skin slave vs. the light skin slave and the light skin slave vs. the dark skin slave
Use the female vs. the male and the male vs. the female
Have white servants and overseers distrust all blacks but it is necessary that your slaves trust and depend on us
They (slaves) must love, respect and trust only us (pages 8-9).
Breaking the male:
On (page 15) Lynch states, “When it comes to breaking the uncivilized nigger, (male) use the same process (as in breaking the horse), but vary the degree and step up the pressure so as to do a complete reversal of the mind. Take the meanest and most restless nigger; strip him of his clothes in front of the remaining male niggers, the female and the nigger infant. Tar and feather him, tie each leg to a different horse in opposite directions, set him a fire and beat both horses to pull him apart in front of the remaining niggers. The next step is to take a bullwhip and beat the remaining nigger male to the point of death in front of the female and the infant. Don’t kill him, but put the fear of God in him, for he can be useful for the future breeding”.
Breaking process of the African woman (p.16):
“…Take the female run a series of test on her to see if she will submit to your desires willingly. Test her in every way (they are still doing that today) because she is the most important factor for good economic. If she shows any sign of resistance in submitting completely to your will, do not hesitate to use the bullwhip on her to extract the last bit of bitch out of her. Take care not to kill her, for, in doing so, you spoil good economics. When in complete submission, she will train her offspring in the early years to submit to labor when they become of age. … Therefore, we shall go deeper into this area of the subject matter concerning what we have produced here in this breaking process of the female nigger.
We have reversed the relationships. In her natural uncivilized state she would have a strong dependency on the uncivilized nigger male and she would have a limited protective tendency toward her independent male offspring and would raise the female offspring to be dependent like her. Nature had provided for this type of balance.
We reversed nature by burning and pulling one civilized nigger apart and bullwhipping the other to the point of death-all in her presence. By her being left alone, unprotected, with the male image destroyed, the ordeal caused her to move from her psychological dependent state to a frozen indepen-
dent state.
Frozen independent state:
In this frozen psychological state of independence she will raise her male and female offspring in reversed roles. For fear of the young male’s life, she will psychologically train him to be mentally weak and dependent but physically strong. Because she has become psychologically independent, she will train her female offspring’s to be psychologically independent. What have you got? You’ve got the nigger woman out front and the man behind and scared. This is a perfect situation for sound sleep and economics. …Now we can sleep soundly, for out of Frozen fear, his woman stands guard for us. HE IS A GOOD TOOL, NOW READY TO BE TIED TO THE HORSE AT A TENDER AGE. By the time a nigger boy reaches the age of sixteen, he is soundly broken in and ready for life’s sound and efficient work and the reproduction of a unit of good labor force.”
Lynch goes on to describe two of his other methods:
The Negro marriage unit … Breeding “two nigger male with two nigger female. Then we take the nigger male from them and keep them working and moving. … The one nigger female bears a nigger female and the other bears a nigger male. Both nigger females, being without the influence of the nigger image, frozen with an independent psychology, will raise their offspring into reverse positions.
The one with the female offspring will teach her to be like herself; independent and negotiable (we negotiate with her, through her, by her and negotiate her at will).
The one with the nigger male offspring, she being frozen with a subconscious fear for his life, will raise him to be mentally dependent and weak, but physically strong-in other words, body over mind (this also is still alive today between mother’s & sons’ in North America). P.19.
Controlled language: (P# 22)
According to Lynch,
“We must completely annihilate the mother tongue. …You know language is a peculiar institution. It leads to the heart of a people”
NOTE according to Lynch:
The more a foreigner knows about the language of another country the more he is able to move through all levels of that society.
Therefore, if the foreigner is enemy of another country, to the extent that he knows the body of the language, to that extent is the country vulnerable to attack or invasion of a foreign culture (e.g. America vs. Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc)
… “If you teach him all about your language, he will know all your secrets and he is then no more a slave, for you can’t fool him any longer and being a fool is one of the basic ingredients of and incidents to the maintenance of the slavery system. …Values are created and transported by communication through the body of the language.
A total society has many interconnected value system. All these values in the society have bridges of language to connect them for orderly working in the society. But for these language bridges, these many value systems would sharply clash and cause internal strife or civil war, the degree of the conflict being determined by the magnitude of issues or relative opposing strength in whatever form”. (p. #22-23)
According to the writer on (page #11), “Let’s make a slave is a study of the scientific process of man breaking and slave making. It describes the rationale and results of the Anglo Saxon’s ideas and methods of insuring the master/slave relationship.” Here is where most of our problems started in the reconstruction of our minds and culture by the British System. That was the process of slavery and it still exists in the form of economic slavery in North America and other countries controlled by Europeans.
Let’s ask some questions as we do a revision of the facts as they are placed in-front of us to see if the after effects of the Hurricane Katrina along the MISSISSIPPI delta was an accident or un-preparedness.
So, if before the Hurricane Katrina the Federal and other governments didn’t address the poverty of African people living along the lowest section of the Mississippi river what makes you think that they are in a hurry to address the national disaster?
How could these people who are living twice below the poverty level find money and transportation to leave the only place that they knew & were also placed?
Did they have a choice in deciding for themselves, where they wanted to live or had to live from the redeveloping of the east & west sections of the city that now stands?
According to the Holy Bible, the father is the head of the home and also must take care of his children. So what role does the president of a country (USA) has in regards to 74-100% poverty and un-employment in his/her country and the majority of people (Africans) suffering at the hands of a Hurricane?
Is it right for the president and other members, to be in a position to muster thousand of troops in seconds to attack another foreign country in the name of democracy but fails greatly to do the same for poor African people of his country in a time of need (water, food, resting place), suffering (trapped, sick families, lost relatives) and death (from hunger & lack of medication) for five to six days after a hurricane that they knew was going to hit head-on.
Why did the relief arrive the same day as the president who showed-up days later in the White areas and got plenty of media attention and hugs? Strange-What is the hidden agenda behind his late arrival in the Mississippi delta area as oppose to his early visit of 911 areas?
Look at facts poster on CNN by reporters that might answer the questions.
According to CNN.com Sunday, September 3, 2005; Posted 7.21 p. m. EDT (23:21 GMT) 9/5/2005-an editorial blasts federal response. The article (“An Open letter to the President”) stated that “Bienville built New Orleans where he built it for one main reason: It’s accessible. The city between the Mississippi River and Lake Pontchartrain was easy to reach in 1718.”- (Page #1).
- Sunday, September 3, 2005; Posted 8.14 p. m. EDT (12:14 GMT) 9/5/2005-another article (“STORM SURGE THE FATAL BLOW FOR NEW ORLEANS.” By Peggy Mihelich-CNN) stated that on Sunday, a day before making landfall, Katrina built up strength in the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The NOAA’S National Hurricane Center said Katrina was a Category 5 storm with sustained winds of about 160 mph as it approached the Gulf Coast. A 28-foot storm surge was projected for the New Orleans area. Katrina weakened slightly to a Category 4 hurricane with maximum sustained winds estimated at 145 mph as it made landfall early Monday, but it maintained a storm surge that is only generally found in category 5 storms. (Page #1).
“Katrina was a very large storm, high energy, high intensity coming across the gulf,” said Elizabeth English, an associate professor at Louisiana State University’s Hurricane Center. “When the wind speed began to go down the storm did not dissipate. … There was essentially a lot more momentum in the water than there was in the wind,” said English. (Pages #1-2). The article continues on page 2-3 to say that a day later, the straining levees could not hold back the additional water and they broke in three places—along the Canal, the 17th Street Canal, and the London Street canal—allowing water to pour into the city. The lake, which normally is 1 foot above sea level, peaked at 8.6 feet above sea level, said English.
As of Thursday afternoon the water had dropped to 2.5 feet above sea level. “This is what we’ve been saying had been going to happen for years,” Walter Masstri, Emergency Management Director in neighboring Jefferson Parish, said Monday.
The widespread damage to the city has much to do with its topography, or “lay of the land,” English said.
New Orleans, sits mostly below sea level on swampland on the east bank of the Mississippi River and south of Lake Pontchartrain.
“A lack of coastal irregularities,” such as substantial barrier islands or hills, and the Gulf of Mexico’s flat bottom make southern Louisiana “ideal for wave damage,” according to the National Weather Service Web site.
“Storm vulnerability is made worse by ongoing wetland loss and barrier island erosion,” according to the U. S. Geological Survey Web site.
To prevent flooding, a system of pumps, canals and levees was put in place by the Army Corps of Engineers.
Construction of levees along the river and lake over the centuries has led to a rise in the water levels, according to the National Weather Service. Each increase of the level of water puts more pressure on the levees.
The levees system is quite extensive, but had been built only to withstand a Category 3 hurricane, English said.
“It’s not that people are willfully saying we’re only going to build it to a Category 3 [rating], and that’s where we’ll stop. It’s just that as far as the levee system had developed,” said English.
“You can’t strengthen every part of it in exactly the same way at the same time. And, like a chain, it suffers from the weakest link.”
“It certainly couldn’t have been a surprise to the Army Corps of Engineers. They knew how risky this whole levee system has been and is,” “New Orleans Times-Picayune” reporter John McQuaid told CNN on Friday.
McQuaid, who wrote a five-part, award-winning series on the vulnerability of the levee system, says “there was sort of a cross-your-fingers mentality. (Read: “Times- Picayune” Special Report: Washing away). (Pages 2-3) According to http://Playahata.com-September 2nd 2005-Page 7, between 2004-2005 “Times- Picayune” Special Report: showed in at least nine articles that the cost of Iraq as a reason for the lack of hurricane and flood-control dollars.
“Something like this depends on a storm hitting at a very precise angle, at a very precise strength, which is relatively unlikely. It’s hard if you’re in Congress or the Corps of Engineers to make an argument to say ‘Look, we need billions of dollars to fix this problem’ when you can’t exactly quantify—whether it’s going to happen next year or in 100 years,” McQuaid said.
Just last summer the Federal Emergency Management Agency ran a worst-case scenario hurricane drill for the city of New Orleans.
“There were responses from emergency managers, trying to come up with plans for this type of contingency” McQuaid said.
In the wake of the hurricane of 1947 (the current naming system did not begin until 1953), levees were built along the south shore at the lake to protect Orleans and Jefferson Parishes. Officials raised existing levees in response to the flooding caused by Hurricane Betsy in 1965. Hurricane Georges in 1998 showed the vulnerability of the city and effects were made the following year to improve the levees system, according to the USGS.
An article “HURRICANE KATRINA: AMERICAN LEADERSHIP SHOWS THEIR TRUE COLOURS” posted on http://Playahata.com-September 2nd 2005-Pages 6-7 states that in 2001, FEMA warned that a hurricane striking New Orleans, along with a major earthquake in California and Terror attack in New York, were the three most likely disasters to hit the US… Computer models developed at Louisiana State University and other institutes made detailed projections of what would happen if water flowed over the levees protecting the city or if they failed. Also the article states that well before October 2001 issue of Scientific America detailed almost this scenario. At the beginning of 2001 Bush appointed successive unqualified head of FEMA, and by March 2003 it was folded into the Department of Homeland Security. Its new primary mission was “FIGHTING ACTS OF TERRORISM”. In fact, the federal government has been working with state flood relief efforts, but when flooding from a massive rainstorm in May 1995 killed six people, Congress authorized the Southeast Louisiana Urban Flood Control Project or SELA and over 10 years, the Army Corps of Engineers, tasked with carrying out SELA, spent over $400 million…. In 2003, the amount of federal dollars towards SELA dropped significantly. The Corps cited the spending pressures of the war in Iraq, as well as homeland security, and federal tax cuts, as the reason for the funds drying up. In June 2004, the Army Corps of Engineers’ budget for levees construction in New Orleans was cut by $71.2 million, the largest single year reduction ever and by July 2004, more than 40 federal, state, local and volunteer organizations practiced this very scenario in a five-day…. Added is the fact that, about 35% of Louisiana’s National; Guards in now serving in Iraq, where 40% are in the Guard and they note that dozens of its high-water vehicles and equipment are abroad (Humvees, re-fuelers and generators). They are also encountering recruitment problems due to fear of being sent to Iraq.
LOOK AT THE MODELS PREDICTED NEW ORLEANS DISASTER.
According to CNN.com (a European owned and operated cooperation) Friday, September 2, 2005; Posted 8.14 p. m. EDT (19:11 GMT). 9/5/2005.
“The scenario of a major hurricane hitting New Orleans was well anticipated, predicted and drilled around, said Clare Rubin, an Emergency Management consultant who also teaches at the Institute for Crisis, Disaster, and Risk Management at George Washington University.
Computer models developed at Louisiana State University and other institutes made detailed projections of what would happen if water flowed over the levees protecting the city or if they failed.
In July 2004, more than 40 Federal, State, Local and volunteer organizations practiced this very scenario in a five-day simulation code-named “Hurricane Pam”, where they had to deal with an imaginary storm that destroyed over half a million buildings in New Orleans and forced the evacuation of a million resident. The information about the five-day simulation was also mentioned in an article posted on http://Playahata.com- September 2nd 2005. (Page 7)
At the end of the exercise Ron Castleman, Regional Director for the Federal Emergency management Agency declared: “We made great progress this week in our preparedness efforts”.
“Disaster response teams developed action plans in critical areas such as search and rescue, medical care, sheltering, temporary housing, school restoration and debris management. (Notice there was no action plan or mention of flooding or dead people.)These plans are essential for quick response to a hurricane but will also help in other emergencies,” he said.
In light of that, said Disaster Expert Bill Waugh of George State University, “It’s inexplicable how unprepared for the flooding they were.” He said, a slow decline over several years in funding for emergency management was partly to blame.
In comments on Thursday, President George W. Bush said, “I don’t think anybody anticipated the breach of the levees.
But Louisiana State University engineer, Joseph Suhayda and others have warned for years that defenses could fall. In 2002, the New Orleans Time Picayune published a five-part series on “THE BIG ONE” examining what might happen if they did. The article also states that in the Scenario laid out-It predicted that 2000,000 people or more would be unwilling or unable to heed evacuation orders and thousands would die, that people would be housed in the Superdome, that aid workers would find it difficult to gain access to the city as roads became impassable, as well as many other of the consequences that actually unfolded after Katrina hit this week.” (Pages 1-3).
An article “HURRICANE KATRINA: AMERICAN LEADERSHIP SHOWS THEIR TRUE COLOURS” posted on http://Playahata.com- HYPERLINK "http://playahata.com-/" September 2nd 2005 has voiced their views (a more realistic prospective) of the situation along the Mississippi delta. Eyecalone states in the article (Pages 1-8) that for many it was near impossible to imagine that this could be happening in the world’s lone superpower and the “richest country in the world.” Every channel that carries news has been blanketed with wall to wall coverage of the situation, most of it sympathetic. But almost as soon as the coverage began the subtle double standards and apparently, racially motivated, attacks on the victims of the disaster.
…There was the small internet firestorm caused when news, aggregator, YAHOO! That posted pictures from the disaster with different captions for people apparently doing the same thing, the only apparent difference being the skin color of those involved. In one photo two whites were referred to as having “found” food apparently in a convenience store of some kind while in a similar photo a dark-skinned individual was accused of “looting” after doing the same thing. YAHOO received so many complains that they were forced to post a notice informing readers that they aren’t responsible for the captions on their photograph as they simply re-port news from other sources, caption included. That would hardly be the end of the loaded, criminally angle, in the media’s coverage, as it has become and continues to be a major line underlying theme in the coverage of the disaster.
Media pundits have on numerous occasions referred to the “BAD BEHAVIOR” of those left standing in a flooded city with no apparent infrastructure. …. The victims crowded into squalid, temporary living conditions were initially being referred to as “REFUGEES” as if they were from some other country, not tax-paying American citizens. And as far as the “LOOTERS”, while a small percentage of people eventually began taking things like electronic and weapons, the vast majority of people took things for their own survival, like food, water, medicine, clothes and diapers so I would challenge the accuracy of describing the situation as “looting”….
While the media has begun running sympathetic focus pieces on ordinary citizens threatening to shoot “looters”, Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Blanco announced late Thursday that 300 heavily armed National Guards troops from Arkansas, “fresh back from Iraq,” had arrived and were being deployed immediately to downtown New Orleans. “They have M-16s and they are locked and loaded,” she said grimly. “I have one message for these hoodlums: These troops know how to shoot and kill and they are more than willing to do so if necessary. And I expect they will.” (On the other hand), New Orleans Mayor, C. Ray Nagin worried about looting, announced that 1,500 police officers, nearly the entire department would be moved off of search and rescue operations to stop “looting”, most likely of stores that are little more than insurance company write-offs at this point. For those reading between the lines, the message should be clear, property over people, even if that “property” is in a disaster area. Seemingly, they would rather watch food and other perishables rot on their respective shelves than have people acquire them without being charged.
Media pundits subtly attacked the residents of New Orleans asking, “Why didn’t they leave” as if there predicament was little more than the result of them being stubborn. Few of them mentioned that those who were left behind were there because they were poor and too sick to leave, and lacked private transportations. Few questioned why transportation was not organized or provided to evacuate those that could not themselves. Louisiana is one of the poorest states in the country. The fact that the vast majority of those stranded in New Orleans were African-American and poor (as a result of economic slavery and not of their own making) was not lost on even the mainstream media, as even they were forced to raise the issue of race and class being a factor in response to the disaster.
In another article posted on http://Playahata.com- HYPERLINK "http://playahata.com-/" September 1st 2005-“SOUTHERN TSUNAMI: NOBODY’S SMILING” by Bruce Banter-Katrina victims are mostly black and Tsunami victims were mostly people of color, all different dark skin Asians. By watching the footage almost everyone was black and we (Africans) realized the socioeconomic reasons for what we were seeing but waited for the journalists on the scene to address what to us was an obvious issue. Of course no one wants to discuss some of American’s more serious, “deep-rooted problems” (Poverty)….the victims situation that truly mirrors the Tsunami. The biggest difference is probably that we knew this was coming Katrina but the Tsunami caught us off guard (or did it?). (Page 1)
Many Blacks sees this whole situation differently from the corporate media and white America, we even wonder why the news jocks called people in their own city and state “REFUGEES”. It appears racially charged and it is. ------Nuff Said. (Page 3)
The writer continues by saying that, there will be more of these disasters because Katrina’s name is “GLOBAL WARMING.” American gluttony is oblivious to that. Author Ross Gelbspan of “The Heat is on” and “Boiling Point”, breaks it down like this, “In 2000 the big oil and big coal scored their biggest electoral victory yet when President George W. Bush was elected president—and subsequently took suggestions from the industry for his climate and energy policies and as the pace of climate change accelerates, many researchers fear we have already entered a period of irreversible runaway climate change.” Against this background, the ignorance of the American public about global warming stands out as an indictment of the US media. When the US press has bothered to cover the subject of global warming, it has focused almost exclusively on its political and diplomatic aspects and not on what the warming is doing to our agriculture, water supplies, plant and animal life, public health and weather. For years, the fossil fuel industry has lobbied the media to accord the same weight to a handful of global warming skeptics that it accords the findings of the intergovernmental Panel on Climate Changes—more than 2,000 scientists from 100 countries reporting to the United Nations. Today, with the science having become even more robust---and the impacts as visible as the mega-storm that covered much of the Gulf of Mexico---the press, along with the oil and coal industries, bears a share of the guilt for our self-induced destruction. (Page 2)
The results of the after effects of Hurricane Katrina (2005) and the un-preparedness of the people/leaders in power weren’t handled with respect and care for the lives of African-Americans along the Mississippi Delta. If the social, economical, political and cultural system of the USA wasn’t racist against non-white people there would have been no differences in the way help and relief was distributed in New Orleans. This is an example of white supremacy and their fight to maintain the survival of their genetics.
Although slavery was abolished on paper it remains in the form of unemployment and poverty to many Afrikans in North America including the 74-100% of the Lower Ninth Ward District. Remember that Afrikans were forcefully removed from their homelands and brought to America, endured slavery, dealt with the abolishment, the civil war & the right to be educated etc. Today the human conditions remains the same through economical slavery, genocide, suppression, conflict, destruction, lack of respect from the European leaders who maintain power, wealth and high positions on the sweat and blood of dark skin people around the world. The only good about the hurricane is that through their corporate media (white owned only) the world has seen what the Euro-American continues to de-humanize their Afrikans. A large majority of Africans-Americans are suffering at the hands of a white minority race due to fear
The use of the word “Refugees” by European Americans shouldn’t be a surprise today because in 1857 there was a decision made by Dred SCOTT. He declared that African -Americans were not United States Citizens-#11. Around the same century (1865-1866) after the de-humanization of African-Americans, The Civil War & the Reconstruction about 10,000 (white & rich) slave-owners devastated by the loss of their slaves and life savings ….were compelled to do physical labor. Facing what one planter called, “a joyless future of probable ignominy, poverty” abandoned their homes-does this not remind you of the rich that fled New Orleans in the height of the hurricane. It should be noted that at the same time after slavery was abolished, Southern White believed that African-Americans were naturally lazy and questioned if they will work-#12.
What is the hidden agenda behind the repeated struggle even in the time of need due to a flood in 2005?
Is it a part of their repeated attempt to execute their vicious New World Order based on a racist-cool-blooded system?
Is it their fear of being removed from the top positions that is engrossed in greedy appetites for money, power and comfort as the lower class human remain in deplorable conditions?
Where is their White God at the time of need, when African-Americans who are spiritual, wants help? These serious questions warrant serious and fundamental evaluation to arrive reasonable answers for African-Americans.
Malcolm X said that whatever the USA is doing to African-Americans in America they are doing the same to others around the world, e.g., Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Haiti, Cuba, Venezuela and Africa etc.
It appears that any non-white country that doesn’t conform to American views is against America. For conformation with my last statement, remember it came out of the mouth of President Bush when he said that if you are not with me then you are with the terrorists-you are against me (in his address to the nation before he raided Iraq).
This aftermath of the hurricane Katrina has displaced and “wiped-out” the roots and birthplace of African-American culture (JAZZ) in New Orleans Mississippi. Is there a hidden agenda somewhere in this disaster? In many cultures around the world, the presence of African culture has been “wiped-out” leaving no trace of it. They have stated that, if a peoples’ culture is taken away, then their mind can be controlled.
While a few Africans around the world and in the USA are doing well, many African-American are hanging-on. Their life condition is not improving and appears to be getting worst in the cases of insecure employment, poverty-level wages, health care, no strong family ties (single parent household), low educational advancement & no job skills.
This situation is created by the “criminal control industry” where many African-Americans repeatedly enter through-the white racist legal government system. As a result many African-American communities are devastated with poverty and massive employment. They have become a people with no “upward mobility” for social expectancy of a better life.
For the African-American families in New Orleans who are “caught-up” in this devastating predicament that we all have seen and know the extensive “effect” that it would have on them for life but the most important questions are,
“Who “caused” the catastrophe, removal and continual de-humanization of these African-Americans and WHY?”
“Are the African-Americans in New Orleans now condemned to die like Socrates for crimes they did not commit as result of their devastating predicament?”

“MAN TO MAN IS SO UNJUST AND YOU DON’T KNOW WHO TO TRUST.” Hon. B. Marley.
